abby's dance class

Abby started a combo ballet/tap class this month. Here's a little of what she's learned so far.

running song

Abby has a baby einstein cd with a classical music that we love to dance to. We have different dances for the different songs. There's a ballerina song, a galloping song, a wiggling song, and the favorite is the running song. When the music changes during the song, we have different things we do like run fast, march, or run sloooowwww mooootion. We've been doing this for months (getting a little old for mom, but Abby still has a blast every time) and in the last couple weeks Jayda has been really getting into it. Now, the second she hears the music, she's up quicker than anyone to get up and run. She also recognizes the changes in the music and will slow down or attempt to march ( which is pretty funny). Here's a little clip. Abby knows I'm about to turn on music but Jade has no idea.

Pro walker

She's pretty much given up on crawling now and chooses to walk. She's so proud that she can do it. Even when she has no where to go, she'll just walk around and around in circles or she'll just walk back and forth across the room over and over. Abby is sporting her new tap shoes in the video. She hasn't taken them off since we got them this morning. Not even for her nap. She starts a dance class on Wed. She'll be doing ballet and tap. I'm sure I'll have pictures of that up soon.
