I love Daddy because...

Abby made a pretty valentine's card for Jason this year and she had me write in it all the reasons she loves her daddy. I wrote them exactly as they came from her mouth. They were so cute, I had to share...

I love daddy because he buys us beautiful toys, cups, clothes, and vegetables.

I love daddy because he beats up me. (they play wrestle. He doesn't really beat them up.)

I love daddy because he beats up Jayda.

I love daddy because he gives me hugs before he leaves.

I love daddy because he brings me lots colors of juices and floss. (yea, as in dental floss)

I love daddy because he writes my name properly.

I love daddy because he buys me nice crayons.

I love daddy because he makes eggs all the time.

I love daddy because he has pretty stuff to wear.

Wisconsin pictures

Abby loved the snow!

She kept slipping as she tried climbing the hill so daddy rigged up a climbing rope for her. She was cute as a little moutain climber.

One of the few times Jayda decided to brave the snow.
Keeping occupied during a 4 hour layover in Kansas City.
Bowling with uncle Jordan.
They were so cute with the little bowling shoes!
Baking Christmas cookies for Santa
Sporting their Christmas Eve jammies. "And we're jammin', jammin', jammin', jammin', I wanna jammin' you" Jayda sings
Christmas morning

Abby and Grandma Kuehnl. What a goof she is.

I have numerous videos from our trip to Wisconsin and I'll add some now and on another ambitious night I'll get photos up too. You can't expect too much from me in one night.

I have quite a few videos of them singing because this in pretty much what they did all day, every day of december. Esspessially in the car. Jade's favorite was definatly "Jingle Bells "and Abby loved "Frosty the snowman" and "Rudolph".

The snow made our Christmas extra "Christmassy". It has been a long time since we've had a white Christmas. Abigail was so excited to get to the snow. She had been talking about it for weeks before we went and had plans to build a Frosty and go sledding and throw snowballs at daddy. She wasn't dissapointed. The snow was just as much fun as she had planned. Our second morning we were there, she woke up and went to look out the window and she got really exicited and said "Mama! Mama! Something's happening!" It was snowing. I guess she never thought about how the snow got there and it surprised her to see it falling from the sky.

We went bowling while out there. We went once when abby was two and Jayda a few months but this was the first time that they remember. Abby, of course, had a blast and I was surprised with how much Jayda got into it.

well...that's it for now. I'll try to be better about posting things. These girls are growing fast and changing week to week.

jog-a-thon

Jog-a-thon

Abigail and Jayda are now attending the Montessori School of Oceanside and they absolutly love it. Last week they participated in a Jog-a-thon as a fundraiser for the school. We had sponsors pledge a certain amount of money per lap that each girl ran. It was too much fun. The jog-a-thon started with the diaper dash (Jayda's room).Their laps were modified to an appropriate size for little toddlers. Here's a pic that gives you an idea of the size of her laps. The orange flags mark the track.
Here is Jade giving all she's got. Notice the tongue hanging out of her mouth.

After about 20 laps she was wearing out but kept on going...

After each lap, they got a lap marked on their necklace...

and a squirt of water too keep them cool and hydrated. (This was probably her favorite part. She would runright up to them, say Aaahhh, and then laugh every time)
The little munchkins getting hydrated before the big run!

Nourishing their little bodies after their success!

Jayda Rayne Kuehnl finishing with 25 laps!!!

Next were the pre-schoolers. Their track was a lot bigger. Here's a picture to get an idea. The orange flag where the lady is sitting is one side and it curves all the way around about 6 feet past the tents you see. I'm guessing it was at least 1/8 mile.
Abby was determined for weeks that she was going to do 5 laps. She had been practicing every night, running laps up and down our sidewalk. This is her with her friend Lexie telling me how many laps she'd be doing. (lexie, by the way, was going to do one hundred and one thousand laps)
Here she is with Lexie again.
And again. They were glued to the hip. It was cute to see her with a best buddy.

Abby took off with a mad dash and I thought to myself "oh no she's gonna tire herself out with one lap." But nope, she was a little energizer bunny. She kept going, and going, and going...When I'd ask if she wanted to walk a lap and rest a little she kept on running and said "nope, I want the medal." (the child in the school who ran the most laps got a medal). Here she is running. You'll see her come by and pass everyone.

Determination!!

Abigail Skye Kuehnl finished with 20 laps!!
she worked so hard, I was so proud of her! She did over 2.5 miles and only walked about 10% of it.
This is Abby's preschool class.

They got a pizza picnic after the race.

After pizza, Abby started asking all her friends if they wanted to have a dance party. She started dancing and her friends started joining in.
What a fun day!!

You can dance cuz its a sweet day

After seeing the acrobats on the cruise Abby has been trying to do all kinds of flips and tricks. It got a little scary at times when she was trying to do back handsprings in the living room. Now she discovered she can do flips off the couch. A couple weeks ago, we started watching "So You Think You Can Dance" together. Since then, along with all the flips and tricks, she tries to dance like them all day long. It can get pretty funny at times but she's actually is showing a lot of potential. I tried to get a little on film, but it turned more into one of her silly songs. She's so goofy!
